Update #19

Friends and family,

Dad’s heart condition has worsened in the last 24 hours. It is stopping almost hourly for 15-25 second periods. We are told that each of these instances are impacting his other organs. At this point, the doctors state there is liklihood he will pass on soon, but they don’t know when. There is a chance he may not survive until the weekend.

Nothing hurts us more to write this, or to acknowledge it, but we feel it is important we let those closest to him know.

Thank you as always for your continuing support.

We love you all.

Colin and Ian

Been getting these updates regularly through Papa Dave and Dawg of Bikers For Christ. Wanted to let you all know that your family and Colin have been in my prayers constantly. Was hard to hear the last couple days updates, but if it is in God’s will, He can heal anyone. Praying for mercy on all parties involved here! Be blessed!

So sad to read, so very sorry that your Dad has taken such a turn for the worse. He means a LOT to a LOT of people and we all pray for a miracle. Your posts have helped us all keep up and I know we all wish we had been able to make more visits. We all know that life will end eventually but that does not make the loss of a Loved One any easier. Remember the good times and smile every chance you get.

    Colin and Ian:
I want to thank you both for posting your Dad’s updates and keeping all of his friends up on his status. I am distressed to hear of the downturn in his condition. I know he is very proud of you and how you have supported him, and his friends, through your posts and being there for him. I continue to hope that the doctors prognosis does not come to pass. If it does, I know that you boys will rise to that challenge just as you have to his accident. It is difficult, if not impossible, to offer any words of solace that have an affect during times like these but know that your Dad’s many friends continue to pray for him and sometimes, things are out of mans hands to control. Only God knows what his plans are for your Dad. I do know that after a period of time, you will both be able to draw some comfort from knowing that you both were with him through it all and did everything you could to make things easier for him. I have held both your father and your mother in high esteem for many years and always enjoyed your Dad’s sparkling personality. They have certainly raised two very fine young men. God Bless your family.

I am so sorry for you and Colin to have to endure this but I hope you find peace as your Dad will and to be with a loved one when they pass, well to me it was a very special gift. Not only to comfort your Dad as he leaves his body of pain, letting him know how loved he is and will always be but for you and your brother – to share that special moment. Obviously not one that any of us want to share but again, it brought me great comfort and I believe my grandfather as he passed as well. I unfortunately was not able to be with my Dad and that brings great sadness to me.

Please know you and your brother are very loved by your Dad – could always see his eyes sparkle when he spoke of you both and his heart fill with pride! Your Dad was a gift to us all and taught us all so many things…..I hope he finds peace soon and is not suffering….he will always be watching you both and at the most needed times, you will feel his presence…..he will always be a special person!

Please thank him for sharing his knowledge with me, his laughter, his Mom and his boys. His legacy will live on in both of you….

I am always here for you both –
    Cristal
